Went to Universal Studios today. Lunch at Margaritaville -- crab cake sandwich for me with a pina colada. Mmm. Jumbalaya for Paul.
A lot of casual walking in spurts as we explored. The longest continous stint was for 30 min at 3 mph -- on our way out of the park, through City Walk, through the parking garages, and finally to the car. It didn't feel like it was a little over a mile to get out but that probably was because there was a lot to be looking at while walking along. People, shops, signs, lights, music, etc. Had a good time. A little bit of ankle pain but we took a lot of breaks when we were riding rides so it wasn't like I was on my feet nonstop. Bloody hot today though. Must remember to wear river sandals, board shorts, and a tankini rather than sneakers, T-shirt, and sneakers next time. Then I could jsut hose off at the various water stations around the park without it being a drag to dry later.
I think going around the City Walk lake thing is about a mile. Will have to try it sometime on a long walk day. At the very least it would be an interesting walk option at night.
